Miley Cyrus is already notorious for taking some of the biggest songs and making them her own, and she’s done it again. She took part in the Save Our Stages Fest in LA to raise money for independent music venues which are facing closure due to financial pressures as a result of the pandemic.
Performing an alluring exclusive live set, she covered both 'Zombie' by The Cranberries and 'Boys Don’t Cry' by The Cure. Gracing the stage with her dusty blonde mullet and pulled off an outstanding performance, she left fans begging her to put her husky vocals to work on a rock album. She closed the set with her original song, 'Midnight Sky', which also sounded more rock and roll and less pop with the live guitar riffs.
She began her set with an upbeat rendition of The Cure’s 'Boys Don’t Cry.' Her infectious energy made the performance lively and put a breath of modern fresh air into the classic 80s track. The Cure are one of the biggest names in rock, so Cyrus had a lot to live up to with this cover, but, as always, she managed to deliver.
Her performance of 'Zombie' has, again, left fans speechless. Covering an iconic track can always be risky, but she did it justice and pulled off an incredible rendering full of emotion. The Cranberries themselves even took to Twitter to respond:

Her edgy voice fits the genre like a glove: even back in 2012, she covered Jolene by fellow country singer, Dolly Parton. It's almost as though there is nothing Miley Cyrus cannot cover beautifully.
